Our principles

We import products under the Auroville trade name, after the "universal village" project, under the auspices of the UNESCO, that is inspired by the teachings of the master and seer Aurobindo, who envisaged a balanced promotion of human beings based on evolutionary change. Himalaya gives priority to the use of environment-friendly paper for its packaging and recycles all its packaging materials; no spontaneously growing trees have been cut to make the wooden accessories. Every year a part of the profits are reinvested in humanitarian schemes in Auroville.

Business organization

Our company is located in Pomezia (near Rome), and we are proud to start our business believing in fair trade commerce. Business is not done "as usual", but with an increasing awareness and sensitivity towards the local and global environment and towards the needs of Auroville.

Total transparency

All the products in the various lines are made without employing child labor and without using any toxic substances.

Our products can boast certification of IFRA, a recognized international organization that develops guidelines for quality standards with a view to regulating the perfume making sector.

We are currently distributors of ambient perfumes, essential oils, pot pourri, incense wands, air diffusers, incense-holders and artistic articles, perfumed sachets and candles, natural insect repellents.
